Birthday of Midnight Review

I was initially apprehensive of reviewing another Ratalaika title, however this surprised me. Some of the puzzles are very clever; on one in particular (the current level I’m stuck on) there is a red laser beam, some TNT boxes, a traffic cone and a switch. When you hit the switch it drops a chain which blocks the laser beam for about 3 seconds. In that time you need to vault up and over to the finishing hole.

Conclusion

The combination of different ways to finish levels gives Birthday of Midnight a fair amount of replayability but I’m now starting to find this all little repetitive without a story to keep me immersed in the world. There are 70 plus levels to complete and this will definitely not hold my attention for that long. This is worth a play if you need a palette cleanser, however if you have GamePass you have many, more engaging choices.

Gaming used to be about playing Championship Manager ,but then I was introduced to consoles and I fell in love with Xbox 360. Xbox has always been my console of choice. Catch me on Apex or Call of Duty. Gamertag/Twitter: Chocolatebear80
