Dynasty Warriors: Origins – Koei Tecmo
We’ve got some Dynasty Warrior fans on the Tavern team, so when it’s time for a new entry we’re alwasy keen to see how it fares. The series has had a few rough entries in recent years, but this Origins title looks to resettle that balance with simply fun, massive battles to wade through. A demo on the Xbox store has gone over well with the community, and we don’t have long to wait until we’re able to see how the full release fares.

Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector – Fellow Traveller
The original Citizen Sleeper was a cult hit, gaining fans with some tremendous storytelling and fun RPG dice-roll gameplay. Early looks at this preview seem even more positive, and could very well end up with an early year GOTY contender.

Warside – LAVABIRD
Personally, I have a strange affection for Advance Wars despite not liking turn-based games, and in all honestly not being very good at the titles I’ve tried in the series. When a new contender appears though I’m always intrigued (Wargroove 2 is sitting on my to-do list over the holidays). And now, we have yet another AW style game in Warside. It looks to be aping Advance Wars even more than Wargroove did, but I am very keen to get hands on and see if this is one I can be half decent at.
