October 2025 Games To Watch

Each month, we like to look ahead and pick out a few titles that catch our eye to highlight; be it big AAA or solo-dev indie, we’re always looking for the next cool thing to play and share with you! Let us know in the comments if there’s anything this month that you’re looking forward to!

Battlefield 6 – October 10th

After a long wait and less well received BF5, there has been a lot of pressure on BF6 to perform. EA are setting their sights high though, and based off of the recent beta impressions they stand a good chance of sticking the landing. Explosive, grounded multiplayer with plenty of destruction and a campaign that looks to be a return to form, could COD‘s Black Ops 7 face some serious competition this year?

The Outer Worlds 2 – October 29th

Obsidian remain a crown jewel in Xbox’s (somewhat tarnished lately) crown, knocking out a steady flow of releases that are generally well received. After Grounded 2‘s early access, they’re returning to space with their RPG The Outer Worlds 2. Looking to address some criticisms while buffing up the options for players, this looks like silly yet deep fun that might just justify the recent Game Pass price hike this month, at least.

Ninja Gaiden 4 – October 21st

Ryu Hyabusa is back, ready to kick ass and chop anyone in his way! Previews of this have been glowing, and combining Platinum and Team Ninja seems to be a match made in heaven. This year has seen some excellent ninja returns – Ninja Gaiden Ragebound and Shinobi: Art of Vengeance – so will it be three for three?

ARC Raiders – October 30th

Extraction shooters can be a mixed bag, but if anyone can pull of a fun take on the genre, it’s the people behind the excellent The Finals. A free server slam a few weeks before launch will let us experience the carnage first hand before its paid-for release at the end of the month. There’s a lot of expectation for this one, and if I’m honest, the style is what immediately caught my attention. Hopefully it plays as cool as it looks.

I've been gaming since Spy vs Spy on the Master System, growing up as a Sega kid before realising the joy of multi-platform gaming. These days I can mostly be found on smaller indie titles, the occasional big RPG and doing poorly at Rainbow Six: Siege. Gamertag: Enaksan
