Super Sports Blast Review

Super Sports Blast is a fun sports game that brings the all the enjoyment of the usual big-name sports games in a package that is suitable for everyone. Players have the option of playing football, tennis or volleyball.

Now as great a game as this is, don’t expect Fifa-like graphics or complex gameplay. This game is very much a stripped-back bare-bones sports game, and if I’m honest, that’s great! The football mode gives you the standard type game options in quick mode, versus, and a tournament mode. The gameplay might not have the all the bells and whistles that other games have but the simple controls, basic looks and easy pick up and playability make the football mode really fun.

The tennis mode is a little more adventurous. Coming up against players like “Ruger Federk and “Sirena W” add a little more realism into the game. You have the same standard game modes included in tennis but you also have custom games that add some interesting mechanics to a set, from a court constantly changing size, to a net that changes shape to a multi ball system.

The game is lacking a few features that would take it from a good game to a great game however. A lack of any sort of online modes is a big let down. The couch co-op side of the game is great fun so online multiplayer seems like a no brainer here The volleyball mode is also a strange one to me. A basketball or even an American Football mode would surely be more appealing to a wider audience?

Conclusion

All in all Super Sports Blast is a good little sports game for all ages. The sheer simplicity of all the sports as well as a graphic style, that while not breath-taking is certainly not horrible, make this a perfect game for people to relax and play or even to introduce younger games to the sports genre.
