MAMPO Xbox Series X|S Rechargeable Batteries Review

Manufacturer: MAMPO
Where to Buy: MAMPO
RRP: $20.69

Finding rechargeable batteries that are both efficient and long-lasting can be a real issue among gamers. Having your controller die in the middle of a boss fight or when in a gunfight can be irritating, however, you won’t have to worry about that anymore. MAMPO Xbox Series X|S Rechargeable Batteries come in clutch and ensure your controller lasts as long as possible during gaming sessions.

PACKAGING

The packaging itself isn’t something grand. It comes in a small box with a picture of the rechargeable station on the box. It’s pretty much a what you see is what you get scenario. Everything is excellent and individually packaged inside and simple to put together. The only issue is that while a charging USB for the charging dock is included, you must provide your own power brick. Most people have one in their house whether it be for a phone charger or something along those lines. Considering how much of a deal breaker this could be, it would’ve been nice if it was included.

ASSEMBLY

Aside from providing the power brick yourself, putting the batteries into the charging station is relatively easy. The batteries themselves click in with ease and the light will turn red indicating that they’re charging. The green strip in the batteries should be facing the inside of the charging station to prevent confusion.

THE FINAL PRODUCT

I have long gaming sessions, and on days when I don’t have a lot of work to do, I will maybe play on my Xbox for about maybe 6 hours a day. Compared to my other batteries I would have to change them every single day, which gets tiring. The MAMPO Xbox Series X|S Rechargeable Batteries claim to have 15 hours of playtime and it really shows. Given how much I play, I don’t have to change my batteries until after about 2-3 days. They really do last a long time and the fact there’s four different batteries makes it even better if I want to use a different controller. It’s nice knowing that my controller won’t die on me mid-match anymore. If you really want to be proactive you can swap out the battery whenever you end your session to ensure that your controller will last a long time.

Conclusion

The MAMPO Xbox Series X|S Rechargeable Batteries are a must-buy, especially for the asking price. You won’t be disappointed and neither will your controller. MAMPO knew what they were doing when making a reliable charging source for Xbox controllers.

  1. Most surely would plug this directly in the USB ports on the console therefore there would be a need to supply a plug.

    • Oh nah for sure. Like I stated a plug is provided, but for someone like me that’s already using the USB port on my Xbox a power brick would’ve been nice to have!
