We get all looty-and-shooty in April’s Project Game Pass title, Borderlands 3! Scottish Gruff Ross is a big fan, and so took it upon himself to try and convince Ian, Gray, and I to see what all the fuss is about.
With Borderlands 4 coming later this year, this inclusion is no doubt intended to hype up the new release and get players acquainted with the style of the series, though for our crew this was done so with mixed results…
What Is Project Game Pass?
Project Game Pass is a monthly part of our Podcast streaming rotation. We pick a game, from Game Pass, each and every month, play it, and discuss it on our regular shows. We aim for at least one Sunday stream of the game, and in recent times this has always been a multiplayer-based title so we can get the crew together for a laugh and some friendly banter. If we enjoy it enough we may even squeeze an extra stream in, or even play it offline on our own to add more to the conversation.
We’ve a backlog of a few years of PGP on YouTube, and we’ve had some incredible highs and miserable lows out of the experience. Our main aim in starting this was to branch out and sample games from Game Pass that we may not have otherwise, from roguelikes to strategy, sports, and much more. It’s been – at the very least – a great way of discovering new games, and really shows one of the major upsides to Game Pass; easier access to a broad range of games and styles. If you’re even remotely curious and have a subscription, there really is very little else that is as good value for money in gaming as this (not a shilling plug, promise).
We’ll be back sometime in May to play yet another multiplayer title from Game Pass, so if you have any suggestions please do fire them off below!
