Fancy Joining the Xbox Tavern Team?

We are currently looking for new contributors to the team here at Xbox Tavern. With so many titles coming out at such a rapid pace, we can never have too many people on staff!

Not written before for a site or blog? No problem! The majority of us here were in exactly the same boat when we began (myself included) and we’re a welcoming bunch, full of help and tips to get you started. You’ve gotta start somewhere right? As you may notice from glancing around the site, we tend to focus on reviews for software, though we are branching out to hardware as much as we can. There’s also potential to interview devs, attend events, write up articles of your own design and play preview builds of upcoming titles too. Plus, if you’re handy with video editing or streaming then there’s an avenue there that we’re dipping our toes in more and more today.

All we ask is a willingness to contribute regularly and a passion for gaming – which you’ll most likely have if you’re reading this! We get the chance to review titles across the full spectrum of genres, so an open mind and a desire to play titles outside of your wheelhouse is a plus too.

Please bear in mind that this is a voluntary position; we’re a small, independently run outfit, and as such are not in a position to offer payment. Again though, you’ll get access to games directly from the publishers and PR – often a little early too – as well as opportunities such as events, hardware, and the like as often as we can.

If not, no worries; just pen a short example review of any title you like (no matter the platform) in line with reviews on the site, with pros/cons and scores. I’ll aim to get back to you as soon as I can.
