Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time Review

Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time is back to take on an all new generation. In this all new game, which is a direct sequel/reboot of the series, you get to experience a top tier 3D platforming game in my opinion. Fans of the series will love this game as it stays true to form and improves itself in almost every way.

You have your standard tour of Crash levels here that you can follow along as the main bandicoot himself or his sister Coco. Along the way you will encounter aid in familiar characters whom have their own playable levels and controls but that’s not all. You will also encounter special masks that are required to pass levels. These masks alter gameplay mechanics in crazy ways.

Alongside that there are other modes to make the normal levels tougher as well as grant you access to an all new set of levels to master. With the addition of a modern mode the concept of lives and game overs are a thing of the past but if you prefer the challenge a retro mode is there to add those elements.

Conclusion

All in all Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time is a stellar game and I have enjoyed and will continue to enjoy every minute of it. Despite being tough as nails at times, the brutal challenges are optional so newcomers or those with lesser skills can still enjoy the great storyline and main set of levels.
